He was speaking at a reception, given in his honour by Meghwar community here on Sunday. Tharparkar District Nazim Arbab Attaullah, former National Assembly member Arbab Zakaullah and Sindh Assembly member Arbab Abdullah were also present.
On the occasion, minority community leader Lachman Dass of Tharmani Colony announced support for Arbab Ghulam Rahim on behalf of people of that colony, and said that his community would vote for prime minister-designate Shaukat Aziz.
The Chief Minister said that if the Meghwar community desired to hold a public meeting, "we would participate in it."
He expressed firm optimism that the opposition candidates would not get more than 5,000 votes, while Shaukat Aziz would win by a landslide majority.
Dr Arbab Rahim further said the Sindh province would progress after the electoral success of premier-designate Shaukat Aziz, and added that work on different projects, including provision of electricity, potable water and metalled roads, would continue here in full swing.
